on a win 98 computer,when i boot up,a program(word perfect)always starts automatically.how do i get rid of this?

Type 'msconfig' in the RUN box (no quotes) and disable the option that starts up the program.

There's an easier way. Check to see if Word Perfect is in your Startup folder. (Start -> Programs -> Startup) If it is (and it probably will be), just delete that shortcut.

If you delete it from MSConfig, it sends annoying messages about having changed your settings and adds a "Disabled Start-up Items" folder to you Start menu. Personally, I find that annoying.

You can turn that message off the first time it appears
