| on a win 98 computer,when i boot up,a program(word perfect)always starts automatically.how do i get rid of this? | |

| Type 'msconfig' in the RUN box (no quotes) and disable the option that starts up the program. | |

| There's an easier way. Check to see if Word Perfect is in your Startup folder. (Start -> Programs -> Startup) If it is (and it probably will be), just delete that shortcut.
If you delete it from MSConfig, it sends annoying messages about having changed your settings and adds a "Disabled Start-up Items" folder to you Start menu. Personally, I find that annoying. | |
