| All,
I thought Id try and get your opinions on e-learning...Is it just me or is this idea going to crash and burn? (if not crash and burn its a long way off) Don't get me wrong I think the Internet is a great place to do research and gather information but putting curriculum on the net to replace traditional schools is pure science-fiction if ya ask me.
heres some thoughts...
-no interaction w/ppl ( i mean half the reason i went to school was to look/meet ladies)
-reading off these damn computer screens, e-reading is not cool
-and the ability to cheat your way through.
anyway feel free to disagree and share your experiences with e-learning.
peace

The college that I go to offers some Internet based classes, and I've actually taken two of them (College Composition 2 and Microeconomics). I've also taken a TV-based Intro to Psychology course.I think that for certain subjects like these e-learning works great. Of course, it wouldn't make much sense to teach any class that has a lab component online.
One class that my college does offer online which I think is rediculous is Intro to Computers. From what I've heard, this class consists of learning how to use the 'net, what a mouse and keyboard is, etc. So anyone who's a competent enough computer user to be able to take that class doesn't need it |
