hey guys,

i tried to write a boot loader by myself, i was not even successfull even writing a boot signature in a drive.becuase i was not sure where the boot signature would be present and where to sense the operating systems present in the system ..
could anyone help me in this.............!

I thought you needed assembly to write a boot record. That's the way it is in the Linux kernel . . . it's mostly in C, but it switches to assembly code to write the boot records.
