PLEASE, HOW DO I STOP PROGRAMS FROM RUNNING AUTOMATICALLY DURING STARTUP IN WINDOWS 2000?
I HAVE GONE TO SETTINGS, TASKBAR, ADVANCED, REMOVE, AND TRIED REMOVING THE OFFENDING PROGRAM, FROM STARTUP BUT IT STILL RUNS DURING STARTUP.
WHAT ELSE DO I NEED TO DO OR GO AND DISABLE THIS OFFENDING PROGRAM?
THANKS

Well first, I would check the program settings that you are trying to disable on startup. Lots of programs have some sort of check box for "run on startup". Next I would check the Services, in the Computer Management, and see if you can find something in there that relates to your program. You can set it to "manual". If you still can't find it there, you may have to do some registry editing.
