Hi,

Anybody heard of this personal firewall. Any websites to recommend?

well BlackIce is made by Network Ice , but I would recommend ZoneAlarm since its free.

If you look at it from an economic point of view, Zone Alarm is free, Black Ice costs about 30 bucks. My money is on Zone Alarm. I have the professional version, it works very well. It is easy to configure and provides a high level of protection. The free version will protect any home user adequately.

Go with zone alarm, like they said, it's free and effective.

I prefer Blackice because of its ability to block certain ports ie 138,139 (Netbios)
I find it less instrusive.
Zone alarm blocks certain active directory info from replicating.
