| I have a question, maybe I should know the answer, but to be sure I will ask anyway...when using winzip...and wanting to save some files on a floppy, say for instance maybe a PowerPoint presentation how do you go about using winzip to compress the files...also when sending email and you need to make the attachment smaller how do you go about compressing it so as not to be such a big file to download....I am asking you guys this because I find out by being a part of this forum, your advice and expertise in matters where I am still learning and trying to get experience, has helped me tremendously. thanks | |

| Open up WinZip. You will see three radio buttons: 1 button opens existing Zip files, one if for updating existing Zip files, and one is to create a new Zip file. You need to click the button to create a new Zip file.
Then click next, and give your new Zip file a name in the text box. Then click Next.
The next screen will have two buttons, one for selecting files and one for selecting folders. Click whichever you are planning to zip, and a dialogue box will open that you can select the files or folders you want to zip. Simply doubleclick on the files or folders to add them to the new zipped file you are creating.
Once you have selected all of the files or folders that you would like to Zip, you will see a button at the bottom that says "Zip Now". Click on that button. Now your new Zipped file has been created.
The next screen will ask you if you want to e-mail the new Zipped file to someone. If you do, click on "Mail This Zip File". Your default e-mail program will pop-up a blank e-mail that you simply fill in normally, and click send.
Best of luck to you. | |
