Microsoft is introducing a new certification. MCSA. Microsoft Certified Systems Administrator. MCSA is a step above MCP and a step below MCSE. To
obtain this, you must pass 3 core exams and 1 elective exam. The catch is that only 3 of these are in both MCSE and MCSA tracks. You must take exam 70-218 to obtain this cert. (70-218 wont be released until Jan. 2002) See for yourself at:

Microsoft said they expected the Beta version of the exam 70-218 to be released by Dec 2001.
