Author HELP!! Microsoft screw!! What is the deal with whistler

2001-01-27, 5:41 pm

Hello,

I am wondering if there is going to be an mcse on the operating system whistler! If so is there any information regarding this anywhere on the web and such. This is very perturbing to me! Does this mean that if I get the mcse 2000 and by the time I finish I will need to upgrade pretty much immediately!
So I need advice instead of the MCSE should I upgrade my ccna with a ccnp and go with a linux cert? Well anyway I am very concerned right now!

Thanks

Hyrific

On Microsoft's site it says the Whistler will be similar enough in architecture to Windows 2000, that Windows 2000 MCSE's will not have to upgrade to Whistler.

It does not however say that there will not be a Whistler MCSE.

I don't think anybody will really know for sure until it happens. Microsoft has been known to go back on their word, and change their minds before.
