I had Win ME on a new Dell PC. However, my question is howcome Win ME took so much RAM!!!
My system source on my PC using Win ME startup is 71% to 82% and then back to 44% all the time. It is so slow and many thing on ME is change. Like the config.sys is no more....
Any suggestion to configure better performance on Win ME.

| My suggestion is to go back to Win 98 or upgrade to Win 2000 Pro.

| Win ME is come with, another option. I don't want to buy anymore software. All the $ is on my new PC....

| I don't know what the problem could be, but I upgraded to ME a couple of weeks ago and it's running fine for me! Memory is the same as it was in 98. but all computers are different..... who knows..

| This is a problem that many people have complained about. Try the newsgroups at msnews.microsoft.com -- there are groups there for new ME users and I found lots of helpful suggestions there . . . some people there may be able to give you some hints. |
