| Anyone else here less than impressed with windows 2000? Is it me or is the interface and whole look about it make it look like it was tailored for children? Kinda like the new MS office icons taking on the new look of childrens building blocks! They cant leave icons alone, have to rename and restyle them. Underneath its the same old unstable cant do nothing without rebooting piece of junk its always been.......... | |

| I use it and it looks pretty stable to me.
I actually would prefer if W2K looked even more the same way as NT4. It would make it easier to learn for those who are familiar with NT4
I especially like the feature that lets you change IP address without rebooting.

| It's a bit different and the first time I saw it, I was'nt really impresed either, but it seemed to grow on me and Now I cant do without it because I like it so much !!

| Win2K is awesome. The GPOs give you much more granular control, RRAS is incredible in versatility, it is stable indeed, and NTFS 5 is a god-sent... not to mention that security now is handled by Kerberos V.5 as opposed to good ole NTLM!
It's a winner all the way in my book
