I need some help with deciding a direction =]

| Originally I started out working toward my MCSEDBA. Because of some serious problems at the school I am attending they offered me another route. (Long story)
They offered me the Master CIW track I have decided that I am not comfortable in the courseware and I really feel that it will offer me no knowledge I cannot “read up “on and self study to pass.
So I am switching my direction.
I plan to start my MCP win 2k classes soon. But I am looking for something that I won’t feel paper certified. I WANT TO LEARN =]
I am thinking of the A+ course??
I am just now finishing up my I-Net+ and also I am looking at the Net+ I feel much more comfortable with CompTias track. Problem is I want to know everything but I want a good baseline to start.
I have been creating (hand coding) HTML WebPages for 4 years now. I am familiar with
Front Page
Macromedia Dreamweaver
Claris Home Page
Cold Fusion (only slightly)
Home Site
Office 97/2000 Excel, Access Database, Word
PSP v3-6
Image composer
Visual Basic (some knowledge)
Macromedia Flash
“MCP” NT 4 classes (deadline is to close to worry about taking this cert experience will come out in the win 2k classes I think)
I just really feel like the E-Commerce and Site Design is a waste of my money.
Based on my knowledge and the plan to move on into my Win 2k classes and JAVA certification.
Any other Suggestions on a certification that would actually TEACH me something?

| so your a web page designer with 4 years experience using various macromedia programs and web authoring tools and you want to ditch all that and go to networking???
I know some REALLY talented flash animators and they make more than anyone in IT networking could ever hope...
Are you tired of web design after 4 years and thats why you wanna switch? the CIW course is really the only course out there for web authors, any particular reason why you watn your MCSE and MCDBA? You want to migrate into networking or programming? I see MCSE And MCDBA being TWO HUGE differences in careers, your either a network gear head or a cubicle software head.
You really need to determine what it is you want to do.

| Hello there!
Yes exactly....but I have been in logistics all my life Web pages and computers as a Hobby and I am one of the few not in it for the $$$. I prob will only get 30K starting out. Who knows. I started this whole thing because I did most of it as a Hobby and was working for $9.00 hr supposedly being what was called a clerk maintaining and implimenting databases in access. And Accounting in Excel. (Hince the reason for MOUSE cert) and I was working 90 hours a week. I had no clue I had skills of any kind. Just enjoyed what I did. And with all of my knowledge got taken a bit atvantage of. I have been a stay at home mom until 5 years ago...so basiclly saying just entering reality! LOl SO that is the reason I am all over the place I did decide though this:
I-Net+
Windows 2000
A+
Network+
Server+
Mouse
I am just finishing my I-Net+ and moving on to Win 2K then A+ and the others I will pick up on the way.
