What track to take??????

Could someone please enlight me & tell me what field is the best to go into right now.??
I know it has alot to do with personal preference, and job selection. But, what do you think is the hottest job(s) to go for !!
(In your personal opinion)

| Are you talking about what IT field or what certification? If you are talking about field, I personally will say system and network administration. If I had a second choice or made a move, I would look into e-commerce and the Internet. It is growing and will continue for years to come.
Now, if you are talking about which certification is better or hot, it's all based on which area you go into. If I was only allowed to get one certication, I would go with Cisco (CCNA, CCDA, CCNP, CCDP, CCIE). The recognizion and repect it receives gives a potential employer an insight on a person's ability. Just to earn it (CCIE) will give the employer confidence in your abilities.
Once again, it is based on what you would like to do. Don't pick something because it is the "hot" ticket righht now. Pick an area that you will enjoy and have fun (yes FUN) working with for a long period of time. | |

| Thanks Bobby for your insight into the field.
I am currently finishing up a two year CIS degree(general Studies)
I did a couple of networking classes & an internet fundamentals class, and I'm still stuck between CCNA route or the CIW.
I'll be taking my A+ exams in the about 3 weeks so I have a ways to go yet.
