| The CompTIA website is very sketchy on information. Does anyone have any inside information about this exam?

| I don't remember where i have seen this but i think it will be oriented on advanced hardware concepts likes raids. Curse me if i'm wrong but there is no info at all on comptia's website  .

| Server+ is going to be based on advanced hardware topics like RAID and clustering, think of it as an advanced version of the A+ core exam. Looks like it'll be a good one to get whenever it comes out.

| Server+ certification will feature dealing with advanced microcomputer hardware commonly found in
systems functioning as file, print or applications servers, or similar. The level of
sophistication for Server+ will examine elements above basic hardware fundamentals on
a PC, and thus this certification should be seen to be above that of the A+ certification.
The Server+ certification would focus on the following types of job titles: Service
managers, systems engineers/administrators, help desk staff, service and
repair professionals, system analysts and integrators. As well,
network engineers/administrators/analysts/architects/managers/specialists, etc.
This certification will deal with advanced hardware issues, such as RAID, SCSI, multiple CPUs, SANs - and more. There is a broad range of support for this initiative, including core support by Compaq, Hewlett-Packard, IBM and Intel. Server+ is a vendor neutral certification that will deal exclusively with advanced hardware issues in the PC area.
The primary target population is mid-level and upper level technicians who are
responsible for hardware functionality of microcomputers on a more sophisticated level
than that of entry level, including installation, support and troubleshooting, as well as
second level support. It is currently anticipated that the Server+ certificate will be of
particular interest to those with eighteen to twenty-four months of strong experience in
the IT industry. A+ and/or Network+ certification prior to Server+ is expected to be recommended.
