| Hi to all,
I have my MCSE NT4 and i-Net+. If I want to go for the CISCO exam, should I go for CCDA instead of CCNA, if I am a software guy rather than hardware guy ?
BTY, how useful the certification of CCDA VS. CCNA in the IT industry nowadays ?
Please advise. | |
|
| I thought you needed the CCNA as a requirement for the CCDA? Check Cisco's web site to make sure, but I think that's how it works. CCNA is basic to all of the more advanced Cisco certs. | |
|
| CCNA is more basic than the CCDA. It covers intro stuff like subnetting, etc. CCDA covers a broader range of topics and is given in case study format. I am waiting until I get thru the CCNP, and then it shouldn't be too difficult. I have also read the CCDP isn't hard after the CCNP.
All in all, I'd guess the CCNP holds more weight than either of those.
|
| So in other words, I think I should go for CCNA first and then CCDA.
BTY, Merry X'mas to you all and have a Happy yet Safe Holidays.

Agreed. I would do it the same way.
Take care,
