16. Jim's network is comprised of Windows NT Server computers, Windows NT Workstation
computers and UNIX computers. There are one primary and four secondary DNS Servers.
Jim wants these DNS Servers to resolve names that are not in the DNS database by using
the network's existing WINS Servers. What does Jim need to do?

A. Set up all five DNS Servers to use WINS resolution.
B. Set up all five DNS Servers to use WINS reverse lookup.
C. Set up only the primary DNS Server to use WINS resolution.
D. Set up only the primary DNS Server to use WINS reverse lookup.

I think the answer is 'A' but I'm not sure.. Can anyone please help..

I've posted this question in numerous boards and get conflicting answers..

Thanks,

I agree choice a is correct. DNS servers use static databases and are structured hierarchical and not peer-to-peer like WINS. The primary server is the authoritative server and the secondary servers get their data files from the primary. However, the secondary servers should also be enabled for WINS resolution, in event the primary DNS server may not be available, or does not have a requested name in it's database.
