| How do you know before installation which applications [freeware, etc] you are loading will conflict with each other or with your windows OS? Is there a book, website(s), other?
How do you deal with it after if you do make the wrong combination choices?

| Trial and error my friend:-)
Before I buy any software (or hardware) or download it, I search the Internet for reviews, especially user reviews.

Hey I am a former DSL tech as of 11/2 any ideas how to get some good experience with LAN hardware like an "assistant LAN admin" job?

| It depends on your location. Check around with your local public school systems. Tell them your goals and see if they have any openings. School systems usually have a hard time finding and keeping good technicians.
Good Luck:-) | |

knowledge and experience will help determine that kind of situation, too.
Like you know your MSDOS is 16bit, u cannot run 32bit win application.
It is a common sense and think little logic. U will find out what to do.
