BooBoo,

3 Months, yes its possible!

HOWEVER you only have 59 Days (less than 2 months) left in which to complete/master the 3 core subjects before they go end of life.

So to be honest/blunt NOT A CAT IN HELL'S CHANCE

SORRY Dude.

Yo FreddyFlyer,

I take it you have not played/seen Starcraft nor Brood Wars then?

2000-11-04, 6:00 am

Nope, spent my war years with "real" bullets.

Hey Freddy lighten up!

I to have seen action in the Falklands, Gulf and some more minor ones. But so what, at the end of the day who cares lets be honest. We are here for technical exchange not snide jibes at one another.

BTW I do rate your postings, most are extremely well written (unlike mine) and full if the important stuff i.e. much needed technical gumph.

So as a parting gesture I'd like to say this:

"Keep up the good work Freddy"

Yeti,

Sorry if I sounded a little snippy, didn't mean any harm. With all of us MCSE Wannabe, there is a very large cross section of ages. So I made a bad assumption on your part. You know what they say about "assume", makes an a$$ out of u and me. Made one out of me this time.

Thanks for the complement, I'll stick to the technical stuff from now on. I have met many military veterans on this site from all over the world. And you are right we are here to improve our technical knowledge. We have a lot to learn from each other.

Peace!

Saw this in another thread, thougth it might be of some interest here. This is from the Microsoft MCSE FAQs. So if you are trying to get your MCSE by Dec, do the core first.

Q. If I have passed all core exams in the Windows NT 4.0 MCSE track by December 31, 2000, but have not yet passed my elective exams by that date, can I still continue to earn my certification?

A. Yes, if you have passed all core exams in the Windows NT 4.0 MCSE track exams by December 31, 2000, you may continue to earn your MCSE certification in the Windows NT 4.0 track, as long as the electives you select have not retired.

Don't forget, Networking Essentials is one of the core of NT4.

Yes, I think it's very possible to obtain the MCSE in three months, at least for someone who already knows a good deal about networking or NT/2K. I don't know about that timeline for someone who's new to it all though. Other then that, the main factors are how much time you can put into it on average each day and how motivated you are.

Rumor has it that some NT gurus have taken all the MCSE exams in one day. Hehe, and I thought the DCN exam was too long. They must have been vegetables for a couple days afterwards.

I've been planning to start on the MCSE for a while now, but now that I've broken into the industry, I'm feeling less motivated to go for the certs at the rate I was before. I'm still experimenting and learning new things with my home network, but the "book knowledge" is sudenly much less apealing.

Yeti, it's good to see a fellow Brood War veteran.
