I've been an electronic tech, Radio Electronic Offcier in the Merchant Marine, a Novell CNA, CCNA fm Cicso and have opened and repaired countless pc, servers, workstations without the benefit of the A+ cert. Do u need it? Apparently since the major corporations are hiring idiots with no experience but have the certs and then we become flooded with people who have certs but no real experience. I would take anyone who has tinkered with their home PC and done it realiby than a paper A+ likewise a papermaiche mcse.

U are right that everybody can fix up the PC, but not everybody know the detail of repairing. Beside the hardware, there also a software part in the A+ that alot people still don't understand fully. Even thought they are A+ or not.

There is something valuable to learn from A+, but not everybody benefit from it.
It all up to u.

Just don't get shock from the PC!
