| Hi,
I am wanting to start my mcse track. I was wondering, should I try and work hard and achieve the 4.0 status or should I just go ahead and start preparing for the 2000 exams? I do have a foundation in 4.0 so I wouldn't be starting from scratch. Also, as another option, should I maybe concentrate on getting the MCP as a more realistic goal. Any input would be appreciate. I just don't know where I should begin right now and am ready to get started on preparation. I have recently just passed my CCNA and am ready to move on to something else. Thanks for input.

| My personal advice would be to pursue the Windows 2000 track. It's October so why would you push yourself to get certified by December 31st?
If you have Windows 2000 skills, picking up NT should be a snap. One suggestion would be to take the NT Workstation and/or NT Server exam(s) before they retire and then start the 2000 track. That would give you a good base to start on for Windows 2000.
Good Luck:-) | |

| I agree with BobbyD,
Too latr to start the NT now.
Since u pass CCNA, go for the CCNP
Why bother MCSE 2000! look forward. It is good to know MCSE, but I think this is a bad time to get MCSE.
Somebody believe NT is still good, but some don't. It is very hard to say. Just look at the future in long shot. No for couple yrs.
