| Hi I'm new to this board and just got a quick question about Firewire. Let say if i have an external firewire hard drive is bus powered and it has a 6pin port and going into a pc that has 4pin port with a 6-4 pin conversion adapter. For some reason the hard drive is not powering on. What could be the solution.
a) try to locate a power adapter for the hard drive.
b) try to obtain a bus powered firewire hub.
i forgot what the answer was for C and D. but can anyone figure out this problem w/ a correct answer that would be very helpful thanks again. |
