i have the microsoft press book for the 70-271 and i also have a couple of books for the 70-270 exam, and i was wondering if i could use those books to study for the 70-271 since a lot of stuff covered is the same.

Go for it. You should have all the fundamentals cover except dont study the advance installations. Type of volumes. Study more of remote desktop, ICS, ICF, various kinds of installs, & desktop settings.

Its only like 50 questions and remember that you are working with end-users ie xp home/pro (not much of corporate environment).
