| Well I took and passed the 70-271 test this morning with an 866. I didn¡¦t feel I was prepared enough to take it but I had to because my company is sending me to China for 3 weeks and my voucher was going to expire while I was gone.
Glad it is over ƒº Now I can go have fun in China!! Oh wait¡K time to study for Net+
To prepare I took the M$ class at New Horizons (don¡¦t waist your money) read the book that they gave with the class, read the Exam Cram 2 book twice (GREAT book¡K lots of study questions), and read some of a 1400 page book called something like Windows XP inside and out. I also have worked at the help desk for about 2 years.
The test had 64 questions and I think they gave you a little over 2 hours to complete. Lots of questions on NTFS/share permissions, printer permissions plus troubleshooting them, DHCP, DNS, remote assistance, ICF, ICS, unattended installs (know the files and why/when you use them) and basic/dynamic disks.
Like I said I didn¡¦t feel I was prepared enough for this exam (and was really surprised at the score) but if you read through the question, read the answers, then re-read the question you can usually eliminate 1 or 2 of the answers fairly easily. Also, first time I have seen ¡§Choose all that apply¡¨ without them telling you ¡§Choose the three correct answers.¡¨ Through me for a loop because I really hate those!!! I even had one that said ¡§Choose all the correct answers¡¨ but I am fairly certain there was only 1 correct answer.
Anyway, good luck to all who take these exams. |
